Unlike truncated domes tiles made of fiberglass, ceramics, or other hard composites, these 24" x 60" size truncated domes pads made of flexible heavy-gauge urethane. They are strong and durable, but also have a unique resilience underfoot and excellent impact resistance. Flexible urethane ADA pads can be installed on slight inclines/declines and even on slightly irregular surfaces.  

Hard enough to create the required audible detection from tapping of a cane, these Flexible Urethane ADA Pads have better impact-absorption  than traditional truncated dome tiles, which allows them to absorb stress and impacts without damage to the pad, making them virtually unbreakable.

Detectable warning ADA Pads that are installed must meet the following ADA regulations:

• They shall consist of raised truncated domes with a diameter of nominal 0.9 in (23 mm), a height of nominal 0.2 in (5 mm) and a center-to-center spacing of nominal 2.35 in (60 mm)
• They shall contrast visually with adjoining surfaces, either light-on-dark, or dark-on-light. The material used to provide contrast should contrast by at least 70%.*
• The material used to provide contrast shall be an integral part of the walking surface
• Detectable warnings used on interior surfaces shall differ from adjoining walking surfaces in resiliency or sound-on-cane contact
