Oboe Reeds To Help Early Learners Sound Better While Learning The ABC's Of Music. Handmade By Master Reed Maker.  

Grasshopper Beginner/Student Oboe Reeds are designed for early learners from first blow to 8 months experience. Handmade from scratch using cane from our inventory in a medium strength with regular to somewhat thinner walls.  Mounted on "Easy Glide" synthetic cork staples.  They are more labor intensive than one would expect because they are truly balanced for extra response, then tone and pitch which requires more scrapes and adjustments. Tested and refined to meet or exceed high company standards for this grade.  As with any oboe reeds, individual results may vary. 

Finishing Touches:  

• Dozens of micro adjustments prior to certification and ship. 
• Tested on my choice of Loree or Howarth XL Oboe.
  
• Reed prep instructions are included.  If you are buying for someone else, make sure these instructions get to the player.
• Light application of Vaseline to moisturize cork. 
• Players encouraged to sanitize reeds upon arrival. 
• Reeds are guaranteed against cracks and leaks that impact play.  Not guaranteed against cosmetic imperfections that do not impact play.
