Bring timeless character to your interior with this beautifully restored Art Deco tallboy wardrobe by the renowned British maker Meredew Furniture. Made in the early to mid-20th century, this vintage wardrobe is a striking example of period design, showcasing rich burr walnut veneer and the unmistakable elegance of Art Deco styling.

The piece has been carefully stripped, repaired where necessary, and sealed with a satin hard wax oil to reveal the stunning bookmatched walnut grain. The symmetrical patterns across the central door create a natural focal point, complemented by a gently scalloped top and the wardrobe’s original handle, which adds a glamorous finish.

Inside, the wardrobe features a full-length hanging rail running from front to back, three fixed shelves on the right-hand side, and a small hanging rail attached to the inside of the door. The interior has been nourished with a premium furniture salve to preserve and enhance the natural beauty of the wood. The original lock is in full working order and comes with a key.

This wardrobe works beautifully in both bedrooms and hallways, offering a stylish, space-saving storage solution with a rich design heritage. Though sympathetically restored, it retains a few minor age-related marks which add to its authentic patina and vintage charm.

Nationwide and International delivery is available.

We arrange delivery with one of our trusted furniture couriers - this will generally be a one-man service and help will be needed to unload the item at the buyer’s home.  If a two-man service is required there may be an extra charge. 

We charge a flat rate of £60 for delivery to mainland UK.

Collection is also welcome near Reading.
